Utzenaich

The Utzenaich location is the company’s main business. A public house with cattle trade developed into a slaughtering and cutting business, where production started following the company formation in 1972. Currently, only cattle are slaughtered and cut in Utzenaich. The central administrative tasks (HR, Purchasing and Finance) are performed from Utzenaich as well. Around 130 Großfurtner employees are currently working at the 4,500 square metre location.

St. Martin

Sankt Martin

With a surface area of 11,000 square metres, the St. Martin location is the largest in the Großfurtner Group. Since it was put in operation in 1995, pigs have been slaughtered and cut here. The deep-freeze warehouse is likewise located at this location. From St. Martin, the goods are picked and shipped centrally. Around 400 persons are currently employed in the St. Martin business.

Higelsberger GmbH – Schwertberg

Since 2012, the company Higelsberger has been part of the Großfurtner Group. Only pigs are slaughtered at the location in Schwertberg. At Higelsberger, the pig heads are cut as well. 43 employees work for Großfurtner on the approximately 3,200 square metres of business space.

Lambrechten

In March 2021, the company Großfurtner took over the Handlbauer location in Lambrechten. After extensive refurbishment and renovation work, a cutting business at the most cutting-edge production level was created. As of February 2022, about 30 persons are employed at this location.

Meat and Eat GmbH –
St. Martin

In the fourth quarter of 2022, Meat and Eat GmbH began operations at a new production site in Sankt Martin after around one year of construction. Covering an area of 3,000 square meters, high-quality meat products are produced here for the retail and foodservice sectors. With experience, passion, and state-of-the-art technology, around 65 employees are dedicated to providing our customers with fresh quality and the highest reliability every single day.

G&H Logistik GmbH – Passau

Passau

The logistics location in Passau was taken over by the Polish company Cedrop in 2021. The fully automatic high-bay warehouse is used for storing pork and beef. The deep-freeze warehouses are currently also used by other companies to stock food.
